Takeover Tuesday

Two days before Thanksgiving and theres alot to be thankful for this tuesday!

808 & Heartbreak

Kanye blesses us with more Genius....
808's & Heartbreak takes you somewhere you haven't gone in a minute. The what can be called experimental or a phase album, is simply genius. Ye gives up the 80's feel in majority of these tracks. Only listened to it once but right now my favorite song is Welcome to Heartbreak feat Kid Cudi....i will have a more thorough review in the future! But go get it!!!!

luca

The 6th installment from Cris Luva Luva aka Ludacris
Theater of the Mind....i've been waiting of this for a minute
and honestly i expected more....
The concept of this album is great but i just expect Cris to follow that....I couldn't see it.
By Far the 2 best songs are Wish You Would feat T.I. and I Did It For Hip Hop feat Nas and Jay-Z - This is my favorite..of course.
Southern Gangsta with Rick Ross and Playaz Circle can take third...
Ross brings it on this verse.
If your a Ludacris fan....get this...

What to watch for tonight!!!

lebron
Lebron back in New York!!!
Last time 50 pts 10ast 8boards.....we have all heard the speculation about Lebron
heading to New York in the 2010 and also the dozen of NBA Stars who will be free agent
We all know James loves New York from rocking the yankees fitted at the browns game to
last season's yankee pinstripped inspired shoes...which i'm trying to get still to these.......

The Big Apple Zoom

which The King will be sporting these tonight... this are sick. and i will be trying to grab these for x-mas.

Make sure you check this game out!

If i don't get back before thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

T.G.I.F. - Edition 2

Happy Friday,

Leading off...

Da Stillers on Thursday Night Football....
beating the Bengals 27-10. It was Dick LeBeau night.
And Santonio Holmes played big last night. 84 yrds on 5 catches.
But did get his clock cleaned. But Ben left him out to dry, which he also did to Heath.
The D played like it too. Giving up only a first quarter touchdown.
Willie Parker was nonexistent last night and is hurt again. Whats going on with willie? Mewelde Moore came to play having 56 yrs on 15 rushes and 41 receiving on 4 catches. The offense is sputtering right now. And i can't blame it all on the o line. They are playing better and i hope they continue to play. Willie and Ben need to work it out. We need everybody healthy before the playoffs. But our schedule doesn't get any easier as we played the Patroits (Who I Hate!) next.
This is a test.

Big Ben throw for 243 on 17 for 30 passing for a touchdown and also rushing for one. Second game straight with a int. Keep It Up Ben!

Next Up.....
President Obama

How Cool is this guy!

Mac Book with the Pacman sticker!

if you can see the full picture i apologize. i need to learn how to resize or change the settings that allow larger pictures.

Can someone help me?!

Penn State over Michigan State tomorrow

Pittsburgh over Cincinnati (for the second time this week! Hey thats funny it worked like that this season)

Oklahoma edges out Texas Tech

Have a good weekend.

Ode to Old Wrestling

In my conversations with GM Jones, we saw a commercial for WWE Survivor Series. We began to reminisce about past survivor series....when we were avid watchers of wrestling.
I was a hugh wrestling fan....you couldn't tell me wrestling wasn't real.
I had my favorites and the ones i hated.
Pay Per View to live at the once Civic Arena now Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, I was a fan.
Atleast 5 times a year..we had to order an event.
January, it was Royal Rumble...had to get Royal Rumble!
My favorite Royal Rumbles....Hulk Hogan's second in 91
March or April, Wrestlemania!!! It always cost more but we had to get it!!!!!
June, King of the Ring....always got it because it was right about my birthday...King of the Ring was the most creative too.
If It Was A Good Year! August...Summer Slam!
Summer slam was good just about always.
And at the end of the year....Survivior Series.....

I still every now and then will watch wrestling but its not the same as it was back in the day. When wrestlers were creative and of substance.....

T.G.I.F. -Edition 1

Every friday from now on look out for T.G.I.F. blogs.

First, The Pittsburgh Penguins are starting off playing good hockey right now. Second in the division behind the Rangers. On Tuesday, The Pens came back from down 3 goals to 6 against the Red Wings And won in OT 7-6. This was a big game since the Red Wings bullied us in the playoffs last season and we may see them again there this year. Jordan Staal played 3 star hockey scored a Hat Trick in this game. Then Thursday beating our PA rival the Flyers 5-4 in OT. Although the pens did up a 3 goal lead Dany Sabourin had one of the best stick saves i've ever seen in my life! Sportscenter top 10 play material....Keep it up Pens!
Peep:

So i'm the grocery store earlier this week...standing in the check out line and i see this.....

So my first thought is who is B.o.B?
Then I flip and see this...

cover2freshmen.jpg

And i think ......Mickey Factz? Really?

Then i flip again....

cover3freshmen.jpg

My face was similar to that of Ace Hood's as i thought....Ace Hood?

Someone is missing I thought....

Wale- I've been a fan of, his flow is hot and he can ride beats with the best of them. A mixtape about nothing....could be put on a top mixtape of the year list....and his song Artistic Integrity is one of my favorite songs right now.... It upsets me that Wale doesn't get more love in DC...he deserves it.... He belongs on here.

Charles Hamilton- I have his last 5 mixtapes... i'm becoming a fan....the first song on all his mixtapes always hit hard....and i appreciate that. His production is getting sicker tho....the most creative beat i heard in a while goes to Charles....sampling the windows sign out sounds on "Windows Media Player"  peep that... on Death of the Mixtape Rapper.....He belongs....

Asher Roth?- I have heard of recently but haven't heard any of his music. So i did some research....and listened to a portion of his gangsta grillz.....greenhouse effect aka the greatest mixtape ever.....He did his thing on certain beats.....Roth is referred to as a gimmicky rapper by some. He does sound just like eminem. I'ma give dude a chance...lets see whats up.

B.o.B- i haven't listened to yet... maybe later...i dunno

Cory Gunz- We all know Cory Gunz is the future....i don't need to speak that much more on it..

Blu- So low key but hes the truth. His album below the heavens was def on my top album of 07 list....so it was on many other hip hop heads. Give Blu a listen....He belongs...

Mickey Factz- i heard dude freestyle before and i wasn't impressed....But i listened to Good Money...and my mind changed a little. We'll see whatelse comes from this dude. He belongs?

Ace Hood- Cash Flow was a tough song......i still play it and he did hold is own on that freestyle during the BET Hip Hop awards......we gonna see about homie real soon....

Curren$y-  Tha Hot Spitta....my favorite on this list. i've been listenin to spitta for a minute. I have all his mixtapes from Independence Day to Fin.... Higher than 30,000...big fan of which opens with Marvin Gaye's After the dance....also heard on American Pimp.... Curren$y rips all types of beats from Dr. Dre- Still Dre to  The Roots- Next Movement....can't wait for the album. I just hope it has good production.

Kid Cudi- I heard day n nite this summer and i've been a fan since.....i tell all to listen to cudi....a kid named cudi is one of my fav mixtapes right now n of the year. Man on the moon is one of my anthems....

But who is missing you ask?.....I would say Wiz Khalifa....this may be a Pittsburgh Bias..but i believe Wiz belongs on this list...hes been doing it for about 5 years and is getting buzz larger than some artist included on this list. Once again, Pittsburgh is an underdog. Maybe 2010?

So one of the Top 10 freshman.....tried to step to a Soph/ Junior in the game and he got put in his place... Charles......You held ur own....but Joe came wit it.... peep

PART 2

Now You Be the Judge....I think Joe got it.. there is a part 3 where Charles tries to come back......No coming back from that.

Speaking of Joe....U may have heard about the hip-hop super group that was formed...

Slaughter House.....featuring Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", Joell Ortiz & Crooked I

thats a very strong 4 and on the first two songs i've heard. No one let down....

Slaughter House- Onslaughter...

for you dumbies....first is Royce

second is Joe Budden

third is Crooked I

last is Joell Ortiz

My list goes:

Royce/ Joell - Joell may have edged Royce out slighty

Crooked I

Budden

Slaughter House- Slaughter House

Order: 1. Ortiz

2. Crooked

3. Royce

4. Budden

My Slaughter Order goes:

1. Royce

2. Budden

3. Ortiz

4. Crooked

Either way it goes...this is a super group. I hope they can drop an album.

Thank God Its Friday!!

Have a Nice Weekend

Victory!!!!!

Slighty Late is this post, but it must be done. One week ago to this date, is a day i'll never forget. Two weeks prior to the date, i submitted my absentee ballot to my home state of Pennsylvania. And i think we all know who i voted for (see photo above.) Words couldn't and still can't express that amount of joy, pride and excitement I feel after this game breaking decision that America made. I watched that latter part of the election in the Blackburn Center on Howard's campus with about 2,500 students. It was a good time...music played during commercials and mostly silence during the broadcast. As the crowd counted down along with the clock brought to you by CNN. A photo of President-elect Obama appeared and a loud roar erupted, indeed I assisted with this eruption. As a result of this with more yelling and screaming I had no voice on wednesday. We hugged, some cried, some prayed, some stood in disbelief, many jumped, more danced. Camera flashes were everywhere and so were video cameras.
I did an interview for some station......so excited, i really don't remember all my words but i do remember that I said "Voting is the only thing that all americans (except felons...getting fixed) have in common. This is history, we are all apart of history and i'm glad that I was able to witness this." If u see me doing an interview send me a link please. Thanks.
Every blog will feature President Obama and family.

The day before the election was also important to me. My pittsburgh steelers played on monday night against the washington redskins. An important game for two reasons: I'm a steelers fan going to school in DC....enough said and also according to tradition the success of the redskins' last home game before the election has influenced the outcome of the election. Basically Obama needed the Steelers to win and they won. Big. Only allowing 6 points. Two field goals both in the First quarter. Holding Clinton Portis to way under 100 yards. The steelers played good football.
I'm proud of both President elect Barack Obama and The Pittsburgh Steelers.

This blog title was perfect: Victory!

goodnight

First of the Month

Last night, Halloween was crazy. My costume was tough, a cowboy....more specifically Woody from Toy Story (pics to be posted later.) Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, even though many don't observe it. Its the only day that everybody including adults can dress like anyone or anything. At my halloween costume last night, i saw some sexy costumes.

With only about 50 or so hours until election day. I honestly can't wait for the day and also for the day the be over. All the news, mud slinging, commercials, speeches, everything can wear on you. There are several battleground states up for grabs. Yahoo.com has Barack Obama winning most of these battleground states. I don't know if i trust or believe this. Ohio could easily go for Mccain as well as New Hampshire, Missouri and Indiana. These 4 states add up to 46 votes. I'am confident that Senator Obama will win greatly, but i'am also aware that this is almost too good to be true.

The Pittsburgh Panthers defeated the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in 4 overtimes today, winning 36-33. I applaud the defense of Pitt for only allowing field goals during overtime. Leshan "Shady" McCoy is showing game after game why he should be mentioned among the best in the nation. Maybe this win will help boost Pitt back into the top 25. With this win Pitt is now bowl eligible! Penn State was idle this week but will move in the BCS Rankings. Thanks to Mike Crabtree and T- Tech (Texas Tech) who upset number 1 Texas today. A truly amazing game. Texas battled back from down 16 at the half to lead the game late in the 4th. Michael Crabtree in my opinion the best Wideout in college football right now, scored the winning touchdown which is only right. Shoutouts out to Colt McCoy and Malcolm Williams of Texas. Both played hard.   I'm upset that Georgia lost today to Florida, but Florida did owe Georgia one from last season and they came out and played that way.

Is it Monday yet? I find myself asking this question. Because the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Washington Redskins on monday night football. A game that i should be at......but will be watching from a bar or my bedroom. Regardless of where...it will be a great game and i can't wait to see. Willie Parker should be playing and i can say that i'am happy to see him return. And tuesday is the election! I can't wait for these two days...two big days for me.

Also shoutsout to the The Pittsburgh Penguins for mashing the St. Louis Blues 6-3. Sid the Kid with 2 assist, Malkin with a goal and an assist. Look out for the Pens this year

One of my favorite rappers and pittsburgh native Boaz. Just released a pre album mixtape called the Manuscript, i haven't heard it yet but when i do i will give a full review.
www.myspace.com/boazgov

From time to time i will recommend an album to listen to or purchase,
this time i will suggest Give Up by the Postal Service. Of the Pop/Rock genre. The Postal service through its movie like production can take it away from wherever it is you are at. Check it out.

Check back for my post game and post election analysis.

Until then....

First Post

I'm back. With another blog, this time i won't forget the password and fall off for 9 months. I promise.

I'm seriously thinking about boycotting Ironman 2 and possibly 3 after the dismissal and replacement of Terrence Howard. I can't believe it. Don Cheadle is a phenomenal actor but many people have a problem adjusting to new actors in sequels. I'm one of those. It is stated as being a "financial issue" and that might be the case but whatever the contract states should be respected by the Marvel Studios, who has now changed the look of the Ironman franchise. T Howard, who i just watched as "Spaceman" in Sunset Park and who I saw over the weekend at my school's (Howard) homecoming. I know something bigger and better will come to him and I hope his album is great and sells.

On the note of Howard University Homecoming, the yardfest has declined in quality over the past 3 years. Also Note to P. Diddy, if you have hundreds to thousands of people paying between 40-1500 dollars to party at a Club with you. On your way out don't push....especially some attractive young lady. Its not cool. Be appreciative and patient, people will move out the way.

Football in the City of Pittsburgh is doing very well right now. With the Pittsburgh Steelers having a 5-1 record and being number 1 in the AFC North. Will face the New York Football Giants this weekend, this will be a great game for both fourth year quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning. A homecoming game for Plaxico Burress a former steeler (who many not have any friends in pitttsburgh left). I predicted Pittsburgh wins in a tough game 34-26. The University of Pittsburgh is ranked number 17 in the nation after smashing Navy on saturday and will meet Rutgers this saturday. I believe Pitt will run over Rutgers 41-20. Also this biggest college game of the weekend will involve another PA team. Penn State ranked 3rd in the nation will face Big East Rival Ohio State....this game can determine whether Penn State will play in the National Title game. PSU wins 35-21.

This blog will be more than just sports and entertainment.....i promise to give you a little bit of everything. Check back soon.

I have to decide on a closing signature...for right now....Good Night
